CNY Blooms
The 2009 CNY Blooms –
Syracuse Flower & Garden Show is being held at the OnCenter,
Wednesday through Sunday, March 4th-8th,
2009. The event
is
brought to you by the Central New York State Nursery and
Landscape Association.
This is a group of local
professional landscapers and nurserymen dedicated to the care of
your landscape investments. We are committed to the improvement
of our environment. We strive to encourage and inspire you in
the creation of a beautiful yard for your enjoyment year round.
Our mission is to showcase our landscaping talents and to
promote horticulture in CNY.
Our Flower & Garden Show will have 10-12 competition gardens,
local college participation, and garden clubs. With an emphasis
on education, there will be many horticulturally relevant
seminars and presentations. Our Association will have its own
display garden which will be designed and installed by some of
our most talented members.
Visual Technologies takes part
every year by helping the many exhibitors at the CNY Blooms Show
by providing equipment for their various audio/visual needs.
These exhibitors all come from the Green Industry, ranging from
outdoor/indoor plants and flowers to fencing and outdoor
furniture. This event features all the various aspects needed to
help create a beautiful outdoor landscape.
This year the exhibit floor will include thirteen large
landscaped gardens by local landscapers, who compete to showcase
their talents, and over 100 individual exhibit booths from CNY
and across the country.
They are also adding a Children’s
Discovery Garden to the 2009 Show.
The show has two days of education session on the weekend which
are open to all show attendees for no additional charge. These
sessions attract a highly educated, qualified crowd to the show,
which includes certified master gardeners.
The show has an active committee of fourteen CNYSLNA volunteers
who are committed to the success of the show. The show is
positioned to become one of the largest attractions in CNY as it
continues to grow. CNY Blooms had an attendance of over 7,000 in
its second year and is
expected to draw over 10,000 in 2009.
