Visioning
The
2009 Visioning begins with a luncheon on February 26th,
2009 at the Hotel Syracuse. The credit goes to the visionary,
F.O.C.U.S. Greater Syracuse, which
is a citizen driven organization that taps citizen creativity to
impact change in Central New York by enabling citizens,
organizations, and government to work together to enhance the
quality of our lives and our economic future.
F.O.C.U.S. engages in research, public policy advocacy, public
education, and public outreach to promote intelligent,
inclusive, sustainable decision making.
Visual
Technologies helping to support the efforts of
F.O.C.U.S at the Visioning by providing audio visual equipment
and services that will make the kick-off luncheon a huge
success. The Video services department will be creating visuals
that will recognize all the sponsors who are supporting the
cause. In addition we will help to give the luncheon a visual
glimpse of the past as a way to look towards the future.
The 2009 Visioning is an important
community effort to SHAPE THE FUTURE
OF CENTRAL NEW YORK - WITH YOUR VISIONS AND DREAMS, sponsored by
F.O.C.U.S. Greater Syracuse,
involves ten visioning sessions
to gather new ideas, visions and
dreams from citizens who live in Central New York.

Visioning
provides an opportunity for every citizen to be included and
have a voice in creating the blueprint for our community’s

The
first visioning session is
Thursday, February 26th
a luncheon featuring journalists
interviewing key citizens about their visions. Lunch tickets are
$30 each. Lunch is followed with a
“Conversation with the Experts”, an
open discussion on “Reasons to BE+ (be positive) About CNY.

F.O.C.U.S. will collect data through web
sites, print, electronic, and broadcast media to reach as many
people as possible. Demographic information is important.
All visioning events are free except the
luncheon where scholarships will be available.
